Ronnie gives out some good practical information from his vids I have seen. I also like BleepingJeep, but they are getting more commercialized. Their cheap jeep series started me on several projects for my ZJ.
When I lived in NW Colorado, we had a particularly nasty sort of mud I dreaded. Everyone called it 'dobe as in adobe. just a little rain and it would literally ball up on your tires and in your wheel wells till you couldn't turn a tire. Sticky stuff you could hardly shovel out.

That's great to hear. I talked to a guy with them this morning as the bumper they show for my ZJ is on a ZJ with a slightly different grill so I gave them a call to ensure I could still install. They were great about it. I'm still working on getting my JCR rock rails installed as also the PO...
Have a Hard Rock steel front bumper on the way so tore off the old plastic bumper. Discovered the PO must have really hit something with the front end. Metal bent in under the bumper, but no damage to the plastic or foam, so I assume they replaced the front bumper. I'm waiting on test fitting...
I've been a couple places that really raised the pucker factor. Glad you made it out safe. I have on occasion just took my wife for an easy drive on paved roads in the mountains, stopped for lunch which included a couple margaritas for her which calmed the nerves before tackling a trail. :)
I'm still waiting for a stranger thing. I've see way worse cobbled together and I might be driving one. . My dear departed wife loved her Bronco II, but as quite a lot of them she tolled it on the highway.
way long ago, I used a high lift jack to turn a pickup around 180 degrees where it stood, but that was by jacking it up and tipping the jack over. I'm not sure how anyone drives off one?
That was a one day off shore charter from PV. Really fun, but I spend most of my time chasing thin blue lines in the high country of CO. Of course I also have pics I will try and post of Grayling in Alaska and a nice Bone fish in Hawaii.
That seriously sucks. Best wishes for getting up and running soon. There are always sleazeballs around looking to take what's not theirs. My old ZJ has an eccentricity in the alarm system where the alarm will go off when I unlock it with a key after the latch button has been pushed. It went off...
Wish I had known this when I got my '98 ZJ!!
1. 4.0 Check

6. He's right! So I just park with the...
Obviously I don't know your area, but around here there are multiple 4X4 clubs with minimal or no membership fee. Of those I have been involved with, they are normally accepting of all levels of experience, and with group runs, even if you manage to fall in a ditch, you have a group of ready...
My pickups just keep getting bigger, crew cab 1ton dually, to pull the 5th wheel. I'm building this old ZJ as I can put a bunch of stuff in the back for extended trips, and it's nimble on smaller/tighter trails. They both have their purpose, but I've gotten a little specialized. I do recall in...
