Thanks for posting and sharing your adventure! Besides the fear of black ice, I would rather travel during winter most of the time. Although there is less foliage, crowds are usually smaller and you never have to worry about getting hot and sweaty after a 1-mile walk. Maybe these are only issues...
Great pictures! I 100% agree, November is such a good time. Perfect weather.
It's a shame how much graffiti is out there though.
Glad y'all were able to get out there though and help those of us living vicariously.
Great write-up and you're pictures look great! Definitely has me missing the park.
My wife and I visited there back in 2020 with our 4Runner and it was absolutely breathtaking. We actually went through Death Valley on a whim after getting snowed out of Sequoia NP. Only there for two days, I...
Based on what I just checked on at Discount Tire, it's ~20% of the tire cost.
I think this is always the grand ol' question, is "insurance" worth it. No when you don't need it, Yes when you do.
We really need a large set of data points of those people who used the Certs and those who replaced...
Sorry to hear the news but I'm glad to know there were no injuries... Although, I assume the deer was injured a bit.
It's crazy to think you can spend so much money on vehicle protection but such a small split second can make it all null and void.
What's next for you?! Can you salvage anything...
3-years later lol. Yeah an update is always nice (not that I'm much better about rig updates).
Still liking your LR3? Did the 2" lift links give you any issues? I looked at LR4s a while back with plans of the same upgrade but read some stories of affected suspension life.
10+ years? Ah, Yeah, Subaru or Toyota then. Depending on your budget, a 2013 4Runner could be a solid option. The engine and drivetrain haven’t changed since then. So, reliability and ease of maintenance are there!
Sorry to hear that but at least no one got hurt. Materials can luckily be replaced.
If you mean it was stolen from "Just Play Sports" near i10 and 8, then I am not surprised. I know of many friend's trucks that have been broken into in that area.
Happy shopping though!
Other than:
1. It will...
Two vehicles is nice and all but it's also two insurances, two sets of routine maintenance, two parking spots, etc.
If you aren't doing anything crazy and aren't all giddy about a specific type of rig that isn't practical enough for DD (like an old LC, Jeep, LR, etc.), there really isn't a...
First, check whether or not it's legal for you take them. Some places have laws against it.
After that's checked off, they 100% go on the hood like Texas Longhorns on a Caddie.
This thread is so true! Even some of ARB's new stuff looks a little plump in size as compared to their old products.
I wish you could still find the look of the LC ARB style bumpers for all new vehicles.
Even this looks a little much as compared to.....
... to this!
I'm sure a lot of it...
To the OP, I'm wondering the same thing. I think at the end of the day it is kinda of like: if you have to ask how much - you can't afford it. If you have to ask will it work - it really won't.
Unfortunately, a pump is probably ideal. @MOAK has a good point though about aiming to buy once with...
