Day 0

Day 0 was the meet up day. The whole group was arriving from different areas, 2 from Arizona and the rest from all over Colorado. Since it was such a long day we figured we would meet up right outside of Las Vegas, so we could get an early jump on getting in Death Valley on Day 1

The trip started with a 13 hour drive for me!

Day 1

Day 1 was a pretty easy day. Mostly just dirt desert roads, hit up Bad Water Basin and some of the other tourist traps.

Nice photos. How long are you guys going to be out there? Several years back we did two weeks in DV, it was a great trip.

We were out there for a week. The park is so big, that I would have not minded two weeks. Maybe in the future.

This was a relatively short day. We hit Star Wars Canyon and then Trona Pinnacles . Trona was an absolute crap show. So freaking windy there!

Great write-up and you're pictures look great! Definitely has me missing the park.
My wife and I visited there back in 2020 with our 4Runner and it was absolutely breathtaking. We actually went through Death Valley on a whim after getting snowed out of Sequoia NP. Only there for two days, I agree with everyone that one week would barely be enough to taste all of the valley. Off the pavement, we only did Titus Canyon which was quite easy and straight forward but I heard the Racetrack is quite technical. How'd y'all fare?

I dont have a GPX for when I went, this trip posting was from @RedRunner87 and I am not sure if he has one or not, send him a PM.

You can down load the DV backroads map online and/or pick one up at the park, it has a ton of things to see and do, but the recent rains may have closed or kept closed some things...... LMK How your trip goes, I am heading back in May I think.
