Is there some way to make the map more legible?

Thank you Erich! Until we get this right, we are failing - so please know we take everything stated here as VERY important. Especially since I created OB1 by being frustrated by the others. To hear we are more frustrating to some means we have work to do...so bring it! I'd really like your...

    Route and Trip Planning

Excellent! That "+" button may be an area for improvement. It is context sensitive, so it does a different thing if you are on the Rally point tab, or the Member tab of the map. I can see how that could be confusing! Please let us know if you have any further questions - writing documentation...

    Route and Trip Planning

Simple answer is yes you can! That means we have work to do on the UI. We spent so much time on UX - but it's all about making it easy so we will iterate until we get it right! Lets see if we can give you a couple pointers. 1. To import a GPX into OB1 - just tap on it in your OS, and select...

Here are some of the things you can do with our Route planning scheduled for the next release (~2 weeks). - Choose how-to route (paved, secondary, walking, as the crow flies) for each waypoint. - Edit these waypoints at any time by clicking them. -...

Best Overland Trail Map site or app?

Hi you guys - yes, additional layers are planned in near term sprint - but the list below is by no means all we are doing - and we will be working closely with the community to add additional layers. What Should Routing Icons Be?!

OK - this is now in the app (poll resulted in a unanimous decision by ya'll). I will also include some kind of warning in MVP as well. You know, "use your best adulting"). Looks like this for now: I think that is a little small so we'll iterate on that.

    What Should Routing Icons Be?!

Re getting feedback we are building for the community and while the dev team are also members of the communities, and overlanders - we sometimes get tunnel-vision - we need you guys to keep us on track! Eyes on the prize - stay focused.

    What Should Routing Icons Be?!

I am pretty sure that Gaia is using the same routing process we are - this information is crowd-sourced largely from the OSM project which has the meta-data for route class - which is interpreted by route algs including ours. So, it is no wonder they have the same Car, Bike, Hike, Straight route...

    What Should Routing Icons Be?!

Very exciting! We are just about to release MVP of route planning in the OB1 app and it would be great to get a little feedback from you on one of the more challenging route planning options. The challenge is making it clear to you what is happening. We have four Route planning modes between...
