Thanks, the ARB bumper was his college graduation gift. 2" Old Man Emu springs, monotube shocks, powdercoated the factory alloys black, Smittybilt I-rack on spare. We removed the rail mounted roof basket and are going to build a permanent safari type roof rack this winter. Also going to manual...
Nice trailer. I used to spend a lot of time hanging out Sheridan when I was younger. Drank a fair amount of beer at the Green Frog and Benny Huey's downtown! Probably both long gone by now.
If anybody in Central Oregon needs a set of stock JK bumpers, I have set for free. Good shape, includes stock tow hooks and plastic front skid plate. Came off my 2013.
My fishing buddies and I use the Rio Trout. I used to use a DT line but have since moved to weight forward lines. You can get more distance and better line control with WF.
Keep your eyes on Craigslist, I found good deals on one of my Redingtons and a Sage used off of Craigslist.
It's hard to...
I second the Cabela's option. They offer some decent inexpensive combos, their Prestige is a good rod, I have one that used to be my primary rod. Another option is the Redington Path combo. My go to fly rods now are 3, 5 and 6 wt Reddingtons. FWLIW, my suggestion would be to get the best rod you...
I use 3 of the smaller version as the water source for my off road trailer in conjunction with a pressure switched pump. I just move the suction hose from one container to the next and I can fill containers without disabling the water supply. They have held up well and no leak issues.
My backup is pretty simple but effective. My Grandpa and Dad always carried a Radio Shack Realistic weather radio with them camping and in the boat. Mine's a little more modern but same basic idea. A Midland ER310 weather radio with built in solar panel and hand crank charger. Inexpensive and...
My new security "tool" that I just finished. A 1913 Remington 11 semi auto 12 gauge. It started out as a rusty beat up $75 gun show purchase with a 28" barrel that was bent on the end, broken stock and forearm. Now it cycles 2 3/4" shells nicely.
I have the queen size memory foam version in my trailer. It's great, very comfortable and can be used as a couch in the trailer. I also like the fact that it folds up underneath my rear cabinets and leaves the floor open for gear.
Depending on the situation - left to right:
