Censorship in the time of mistrust

I'm with you in principle; however, this is a privately owned forum the owner(s) can run any way he/she/they feel is right. I will never side with censorship, but as one who believes wholeheartedly in personal property rights I will accept the way this forum operates or remove myself from it...

    Reputable custom shop in SoCal??

Cool, I'm quite familiar with Citrus Ford. Over the years my family and I have purchased several cars there. Haha, must be nice for sure. My Megacab is 15 years old now! And I have done all work of any significance myself.

    Reputable custom shop in SoCal??

I'm curious @Trigger T4R , did you ever find a shop for your boss? I have lived in the area my entire life (47 yrs old, now) and don't know who I'd send him to.

I want to see the Rams

Looks like a Randy Ellis Designs light bar. I've had one on the front of my Ram since 2006.

    Too indecisive....

Coilovers certainly aren't needed, but when set up right they can make a vast improvement in the ride quality of your truck no matter the terrain, including day-to-day street and highway. And for me, that makes them worth the expense.

    Wagoneer

Love those trucks! Probably the only Jeep I'd buy.

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

I have (3) Lodge cast iron items, and I sanded the skillet and griddle and left the grill pan unsanded. I used a 2" 80-grit sanding disk on my little Milwaukee M12 polisher/sander. I spent 15 minutes or so and a couple/few disks on each and took the cooking surface down to bare metal. I haven't...

What are you using to mapping your journey and navigating your route?

I haven’t tried in a couple years but I still have the old Garmin software so I don’t see why I couldn’t. The last time I uploaded maps it covered the majority of the places I ride.

    Fiskars Axe

I use a Fiskars splitting maul to split fire wood and it’s been fantastic. I have a Swedish made Husky axe for cutting and the hickory handle has taken a beating but is holding together just fine. I’d buy both again.

Or use modern oils and the eggs won't stick at all. Sure, the old ways worked, but they took time. My way takes a day.

    4Runner Camp/Explore build

Who makes the Summit fridge (I'm assuming its rebranded)?

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

When I do mine, I set the skillet/griddle/etc. on the stove top burners and heat to about 200*, then wipe on a thin layer of oil (avocado, usually) then bake an hour at 425*. I then let it cool completely in the oven. Then before I store the cast iron I give it a wipe with an oily cloth.

What knives do you guys recommend?

My daily carries are folders; a 20 year old Spiderco Pacific Salt with Japanese-made H-1 steel blade and a Buck 547 with USA made S30V blade. When in the "woods" (not many here in SoCal, hahaha) I like to carry a fixed blade; either a Helle Harding or a really cool knife made from an old file I...

    Mr. heater "Little Buddy" experience?

Nope, not a drop. It was me and my (2) sons in the tent, and the heater ran pretty much all night. I had the bottom zipper of one door unzipped for ventilation but that's it.

    Mr. heater "Little Buddy" experience?

I used a portable buddy on low setting in a 10x10 Kodiak Canvas tent and it kept us warm easily with AZ winter temps in the upper 30s. In a small roof top tent I’d think the Little Buddy would be great.

    Amber chase lights

Another big plus for Baja Designs is their customer service. If you contact them directly, they will put together a light set to your specifications. For instance, the lights on my motorcycle are not sold on their web page in that configuration. It only took an email for me to get exactly what I...
