Yes the pickups seemed to work alright with out much problem, however the bikes spent a lot of time travelling in the back of a converted bus.

She may be two wheel drive, but we still get to some really nice wild camping spots. Especially enjoy some forest tracks through out Scotland. With car camping taking off here in the UK I'm starting to convert the wife's Citroen Picasso into a one man camper, she just doesn't know it yet...

Thank you for the welcome. We did the NC500 a few years ago in the autumn to avoid the dreaded midges. As a winter trip it sound interesting, not sure my VW is suitably equiped yet for a snow trip. I'm gradually preparing it for the colder climates as our dream destination is Sweden and Norway.

I attended the Adventure Overland show in Sept held at the Stratford upon Avon Racecourse again. It's a great long weekend and the only show of its kind in the UK. This forward control Land Rover is always displayed. And this pop top from New Zealand.
