Quick Release RTT mounts for Sherpa/Prinsu?

This might work! I have a pretty low garage so my fully stock FJ with rack and tent don't quite fit into the garage. I haven't tried deflating the tires yet, but it might work, as it's only .5-1 inch too hight right now. If I install 5100's, it might not be able to at all. Hah. Installation is...

You’re a damn genius! Now I just need to figure out a way to get it on and off by myself!

Quick Release RTT mounts for Sherpa/Prinsu?

Hey y'all. I saw the quick release RTT mounts for FrontRunner, and wondered if they would work for Sherpa/Prinsu racks. I don't think they will, because it looks like they're only for single-channel crossbars. Would this quick release mount work for Sherpa/Prinsu? Are there others that would work?

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

Have you checked out the Facebook Group? It's pretty active. I have the 30. I put it in my FJ for two days with 5x 16-oz cans in it, and it kept them at 40 without a charge, no problem. Battery was at 60% at the end of the second day.

How can I make this fuse/relay box water resistant?

Took a gamble on a cheap fuse/relay box and switch panel. So far it's been great, but I can't close the fuse/relay box lid, because they don't account for the battery cables. Hah! What could be the best way to go about making this more water resistant? I'm thinking I could use a large drill...

Fuji the FJ's maiden voyage | Naneum Ridge to Columbia River

If you mounted it on the lower half of the door like I did, that’s why. It’s supposed to be mounted higher.

    CafeRoaster's '08 FJ Cruiser

I've been working on quite a bit - so much so that I haven't had time to document it here. I recently installed the JM-2 propane tank mount by Refined Cycles and the tailgate table by Bison Gear. Both are... Okay. The JM-2 isn't very easy to secure a propane tank to. I also have the Bison Gear...

Fuji the FJ's maiden voyage | Naneum Ridge to Columbia River

Hey y'all! Newbie overlander here, and I upgraded from my Honda Element "Henry" to a 2008 FJ Cruiser "Fuji" in December. Since then, I've added a roof rack, RTT, and various other things, to prepare it for overlanding. This trip was its maiden voyage and the goal her was to really learn both the...

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

That fridge does look neat, but boy is it ugly. Haha As far as I can see, though, the battery isn't removable.

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

Ah, they’re like the Harbor Freight of overlanding gear, right? Some folks love ‘em, others hate ‘em.

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

I ended up opting for the 30 and the solar panel. I don't have a solar setup, and probably won't need much of one, so this one should be plenty.

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

I went ahead and ordered the 30 with solar panel. Hoping it’ll be big enough. Without needing ice, it should last me a couple days at a time worth of food. When my wife, my kiddo, and I camp together for two days, we use a 52 liter with two bags of ice.

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

Physical space and weight. I don’t need a power source for anything else like a drone or laptop, so why get a huge power source just for a fridge?

What do we think of Anker's new battery-powered cooler?

I missed out on the one I would have gotten, and don't want a smaller one or want to pay $1,000. >.<
