Xterra not so Firma

Working at a car dealership is a bit of a pain in the ass. That being said, if you are quick about it, most times you can buy a damn good trade in for a decent price.
In late May of this year, I happen to see a 2016 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD that was absolutely beautiful. Not even 4,000 miles turned, and it's traded in.
Ya, there's no way I could afford a $35k vehicle. So continuing with that day in May, I head out for lunch... what is this that pulls in?

Long, boring story about me stalking this prey in it's parking spot, just silently waiting for the previous owner to drive away. Disregard another story about almost getting the sandpaper condom love by a morally questionable sales manager, I find myself the owner of a 2010 Nissan Xterra S 4x4. The keys weren't even checked into sales, before I was taking a peek at this tuck.

It wasn't until after I tested out the 4WD system in 'Suburban Estates' in central Florida, that I wasn't "suppose to" take the SUV out "mudding". To be fair, there was much more loose sand than mud, so I didn't take the words to heart.
Shortly after that, I thought up the clever idea of 'XterranotsoFirma.com' as a clever name to keep track of what I've done with this rig.
In the eyes of a rookie off-roader like myself, this thing can move easily though stuff I was about to start puckering up to my seat. Even on some 3/32nd to 4/32nd BF Goodrich longtrails.

During the tropical storm that hit FL on 6/7/16-ish, I encountered my 1st flat tire. Haven't even owned it for a few days.
After a quick order from 4 wheel parts (not a plug, I'm giving an honest post) 5 Toyo open country at 2's were then mounted in place of the original, dry cracking, BF Goodrich's. This be said- I have had a 2wd Xterra in my past, and I was happy with the BFG's that were factory. I went with the Toyo's due to amazingly cheap price.
With work of the finance and insurance guys through my sales dept, I have the rims and tires under svc contract through Fidelity. Cheap insurance, just saying.

After about $1,200ish worth of 5 tires w/road hazard, window vents, and tuck props/shocks, I am thankful to whichever deity that is out there, because I really like this rig.
It will be a few more months before I can get away from work, but I look forward to see what the new tires can pull through.
