I don't have an RCI rack, but I would bet something similar would work for it...
A buddy of mine owns a large structural steal business, so I went to his place with the plastic brackets that came with the traction boards, and he had one of his guys punch some holes in some flat-bar. I was then able to fasten those steel brackets onto my particular rack with drop-in t-nuts. I think you could easily source some aluminum from Lowes or Home Depot and knock something like this together quickly without any specialized tools.

Ok I found a solution. I took the mounting plate that came with the boards. Put a hole through it and put a bold through that hole to secure it to my rack. I put that on the outside of the rack. Then put the boards on. The original instructions were to put the mount plate on the inside. But by doing it this way I secured the plate so it can stay on even with out the boards and not stand out. Or get in the way. I also secured the bolt that they sit on with two nuts to keep the bolt in place after I remove them.
I’m also going to use old gun locks (the kind that look like a bike lock) one on each side to keep them from growing legs.
