Winch isolator

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I don’t know if this is so much a gear review but I’m often asked about my winch isolator to keep everything in place and prevent it from rattling around.

It’s from Daystar and is inexpensive and an easy install.

I got mine from Amazon!

***Update***

They work great as well
I bought one when I had my winch installed. Unfortunately for me, the 17,500 pound winch i installed has a cable hook to match it's capability, too big. Therefore it won't tuck the hook(too big)into the hook pocket molded into it side wise as i had hoped. This was too avoid the cost of a Factor 55 FLATLINK. But again the cable size is bigger than the engineered link can handle. So at this time I just attach the hook out to a recovery point. I might redress the issue in the meantime by using it as a damper, as they suggest.
