I just looked at Leadnav and for a $20 lifetime basic version it seems to have most but not all the items one would need. And you are correct, no offline maps. That will cost you $70 a year. But I will wait to see if anyone else is using it and can comment on functionality.

Gaia was my goto because it included Canada Backroads. The cost has become prohibitive and will not buy in now. You're okay with the cost, fine but really it doesn't have to cost that much! It's a market demand thing. I've gone back to Google and using local mapping for the area of choice. This is 'free' and it's what's 'all' the big guys use when charging us outrageous prices. I do find I can get better info in Canada especially, if I go local info. Canada does a pretty good job on access of info.

Agreed. I read a lot about onX last night and decided to go that direction. I liked the training videos to help with the learning curve. I will say the only thing I dislike initially, mostly out of being a newbie, is that the file size is limited to 4MB. Kent sent me the CDT2023 .gpx file and it was 13MB. I figured out, partially at least, how to reduce the size of the file and was able to upload into onX offroad but I don't know enough about it yet to know what I am missing...to be determined. I guess I'll be their huckleberry for a year.
