LC80 snorkel installed the other night...temporarily attached the upright bracket to the A-pillar with 3m double sided tape, but I'm not happy with that. Going to go back with rivnuts and silicon around them to permanently attach the bracket correctly to the A-pillar. Also need to finish sealing all the intake connections in the engine bay, then do my diff breather extensions.

This snorkel isn't a PERFECT fit for the 4runner, there's gaps around the base of it where it attaches to the vehicle body. But its functional. At some point in the future, I may pull it back off and spend a day with the heat gun reshaping the back side of it to perfectly form to the 4runner fender. But that's not necessary, its solid, and functional. Overall very happy with this as a budget friendly snorkel option.

When I bought the trailer the PO threw in a combo ball/pintle hitch. It’s worked fine over the years, albeit a little noisy and clunky. I always had the intention of going with a dedicated pintle hitch and finally got around to getting one. Now we will see if there is much of a difference.

**Update - After just a quick drive around the block, the difference is night and day. Almost no clunking and banging from the hitch, even when braking hard or accelerating quickly. Now I’m just afraid I’ll forget the trailer is back there without that audible reminder.

Found out that my car has a turbo, it's a tiny one, but I didn't think it had forced induction (and that there is alot of oil outside the gearbox, will take a look when it gets an oilchange tomorrow)

Ordered 2 - 23”X23”X16” with 1/2” padding inside Zarges aluminum water resistant cases for my roof rack. They will tuck in right behind my HID floods and spots. Can’t wait to get them. Opted for these instead of the AluBoxes or the Pelican cases. After a great deal of consideration, pricing all around the same, I chose Zarges as they seem to be the highest quality and a better selection of sizes and they withstood the Bear Test...see the video on their US website. Only bummer is the 6 week wait. I can wait!
