Re-installed my OB emblem (now the third vehicle it's been on!)

And installed and wired my Whelen Talon that I've had sitting around for over a year. Doubles for emergency use as well as solid burn for chase light.

Anyone see something new under the FJ?

Installed some Total Chaos Race Series Lower control arms. After a year or less my lower bushings were shot again. Decided to go with TC for a few reasons:
- Ease of Maintenance. Uniballs and Polyurethane Bushings are a lot less labor intensive to replace than OEM.
- Increased strength. Arms are made out of 4130 Chromoly
- Dual Sock Capability. I can add a bypass shock for increased performance on and off the road. TC sells a shock hoop that requires a little welding.

Now the build is almost finished. Done with the big ticket items for now.
Poly and uniballs require ongoing maintenance though.
Out of curiosity were you preloading your bushings prior to tightening them up? Definitely helps with the life of the bushings especially when overall travel has increased.

Finished the post trip checkout, tagged two skids, both step rails and the center section of the rear diff. Putting at least my 1" lift on and a set of sliders moved way up the to-do list.

Pulled the trigger on Bartacts for the 4 door, still feeling the sting as Wet Okoles fell apart, even though they were touted as "premium" years ago.

Next up, i'm ordering a Diamond K400 antenna mount and Larsen 2/70 antenna to get the Yaesu up and running in the new rig.

So I finally got the bumper mounted yesterday. Didn't take enough pics, but I did run an air hose into the driver side "step". Haven't had a chance connect it all up, but it's installed and feels incredibly solid. Unfortunately I did have to remove the GOBI ladder to clear room for the swing out. Oh well.

Now I just need to figure out how to get my exhaust tucked up higher- it looks so weird hanging that low now. Any suggestions?

Having spare parts paid off big today! I had one spark plug and one spark plug wire go bad today, so I was running on 6 cylinders. I found some shade under a tree, and changed all my plugs and wires. I wasn't in a remote location, but there are NO mechanics that work Sundays in Provo Utah! Found a Pep Boys and replaced the plugs and wires, in my spare parts box, immediately.

I abused my taco, along with some of the WEST members today.

They even put up with my 2WD limitations, and marveled when I got thru some stuff I shouldn't have been able to...

Then, I threw a code and switched this thing out ASAP!

Wow, gnarly. That's a few trips, even after blowing it out each one. Geez.

Gonna reset the CEL tomorrow and hopefully all back to normal.
