Duaaa, Greg, what is a dead pedal ?
Kind of a fake clutch pedal for an automatic; gives you a place to rest your left foot. Have not driven with it yet but it seems like a nice place for my foot to rest and seems to make my ankle happier when that leg is stretched out.

Thanks, I'm amazed at what is useful to some people. I think it would be a hindrance for me. One reason I like auto trans cars is the left foot space. I use to have a Boston Terrier who would only ride in the car sitting in that location staring at the under dash firewall. LOL

Finally got around to adding some driving lights to the Disco, used a license plate light mount bracket and ran supports back to the metal behind the grill. 2 x 3 watt LED floods and a 90 watt spotlight/flood combo and yes the pods are intentionally angled.

Best off all it is all hooked up to an existing factory switch

That looks awesome. Unique with the way you set them up together.

Which factory switch did you hook up too ?
I jave a new bumper with a raised light bar on it for two 9" driving lights. I've almost decided to hook them up to my old driving fog light switch if that will work properly.

@Lanlubber mine had Aux driving lights some time in the past, I think LR ones so I have this switch. I would think the one on the left side would work just as well

I'll check it out tomorrow, thanks I dont know what half the switches on my LRD2 are for. I just havent spent any time driving it since I purchased it. The man I purchased it from said he has never put the transmission in low range 4 wheel in the 19 years he owned it. I'm half scared to try but will have to check it out this coming week. It was a strictly highway car for his travels.

What did I do with my car today ?
I had to jump start it because the damn computers ran my new battery down from sitting to long without driving it. I drove it around for about 20 minutes to recharge the battery. I cant wait to get the final repairs (three amigo issues) and mods (sliders and lighting) finished so I can hit the road for some trial runs, get acquainted with the beasts of the forest again, and get some confidence in my rig and my physical ability
to set up camp alone and without assistance.

I think I finally have a plan for building the interior of my rig for camping and sleeping inside of it. It needs to be really simple (like me) and easy to build. I found a guy on YouTube that has such a build in his Subaru that I think will work in my rig nicely with minor changes. I also found a local craftsman that can do it for me. That's a big win for me in my weakened medical condition. I'll do the interior after I do all my trial runs I hope to do later in the month and in November if the weather will allow.

And finally my Three big plano containers will be here next week and I was lucky to hit a good buy on Amazon prime day. $115 for the three big containers that @Michael had recommended. Thank you @Michael for the tip in your video.

Finished my spare carrier. It swings out and has a drop down table on the inside. Just need to extend the license plate light wiring harness and it’s complete.
Great looking Scout ! Unique too. I like the old iron and it fits this OB lifestyle so naturally.
I'm gnashing my teeth with envy.....

Thank you!! Just a few major things left on her. The next thing is the rear axle because it leaks pretty good and needs an air locker. Then rust repair and interior. Who am I kidding? Vintage trucks are never done. It is about time for a surf trip up the coast though.

Rest of the drive train is now in.

Got the PS pump and hoses hooked up.

One of the previous owners replaced the low pressure line with a section of airhose it looks like.

Got the fuel tank backin as well with new hardware and Rubber lines.

Today im going to try to "unf%$k" the emissisons lines and routing. Unfortunately many of the factory emissions parts are MIA from the previous owners.
