Installed this wireless remote relay today then looked up my camper shell security lights and underbody pod lights. Now I can control these lights, and anything I connect to it with the universal remote.

That's my kinda lights, remote. Takes less wiring knowledge that I don't have. I'm a plug and play kinda guy when it comes to electronics.

I know what you mean. Electrical is not my forte but I took a chance anyway. Turned out as expected.

The range of remote is pretty good. Works from across the street.

Sounds like a good one for winches too. I'm too old for manual winches anymore !

Curious. Was this in Orange County or up in Big Bear? Seems like all of the trails in OC have been closed forever.
San Bernardino National Forest/Big Bear. Yea the Main Divide has been pretty much closed since I don't know how long. Today I tried to do Suagrpine Mountain Trail but no luck for me I guess.

Had a chance to do some night lighting checks.
1-3) LED Headlight Bulbs Upgrade - V.4 from @headlightrevolution. Amazing lighting over stock bulbs. @bajadesignsofficial LP9 marker lights lit up. Love'em
4) @kchilites Flex LED Quad Pods. Serious fog-killing amber goodness, right there.
5) Headlights and KCs.
6) @bajadesignsofficial LP9 Pro LED Spot Lights. Instant daylight. I just need to adjust/turn them outward a little more.
7) @rigidindustries Hyperspots are like laser torches, cutting through the darkness. Also need to adjust/turn these outward a little more.

Overall, I am really happy with my lighting setup. Ready to daylight some darkness.20200509_213121.jpg20200509_213149.jpg20200509_213200.jpg20200509_213239.jpg20200509_213248.jpg20200509_213306.jpg20200509_221649.jpg

Installed the freshly painted 4xinnovations rear bumper. Next step, installing the switngout. View attachment 153119
That's the best looking bumper I've ever seen for a 4 Runner. I like how it will protect your rear quarter panels at the bottom. One that nice for my LRD2 is well over 2 grand ! Where is your spare tire located currently, inside or outside under ?

thanks Jim
it's actually a flatdeck.
first time we used it the quads got coated in mud and dirt from the crewcab tires, so i made the front deflector. then i left my helmet and boots on the deck once and only my boots made it home, so i made the sides. they just lock together and drop in the stake pockets, takes literally 10 seconds to remove the side kit. it would not stop the quads from crashing threw if the tie downs ever broke, but it keeps all the loose junk we throw in there, in there. then our riding gear got soaked on the way home once so i made the water tight gear box for the front. it came with 3 foot long ramps that slide in a rack at the back, but we never use them. there made of sq tubing and the quad tires get no traction on them, plus their too short, i've lifted the trailer 5" so far, so i got some folding 6 footers.
future plans are custom lift springs so i can go from a 8" drop hitch to about a 4" drop hitch, and to one day cut them stock ramp racks off- i've plowed many a road with them

The removable side rails is a slick way to do it. I don't know why my mind was thinking that trailers always load from the rear, I need to re-arrange my think tanking.

I really like your old square body rig. I like older trucks, maybe because I'm an older guy. You built that up yourself didn't you ? Seems I saw a build thread on your truck. I'll bet you get a lot of compliments on it everywhere you go.

On lifting your trailer, do you have a spring over or spring under axle set up ? As a suggestion, you could refab the trailer tongue with a z frame tongue that would allow you to keep the flat bed low and only raise the hitch end of the tongue kinda like a fifth wheel but that wouldn't end your road plowing issue would it.

Had time to re-run my front facing LED pods and 20” light bar to my new aux battery. Whew that was a relief. I hate electric mods. Gitz gitz lol.
Now that you have the experience, ill let you come do my lighting for me so that I won't screw it up good. The big think with me is the wire routing, I'm not very imaginative with things like that. :-(

If you lived closed, I’d be glad to take a stab at it lol.

I put a down payment on a custom storage/sleep platform for my 4runner. I was originally looking at the Goose Gear setup but I just couldn't stomach the price. Ended up going with Solid Wood Worx in Huntington Beach. Brian does some awesome work and he's saving me more than 50% over the Goose Gear stuff.

WoW! That's a great savings! It's always nice to find great gear at great prices.
