Nice! Once I get my roof rack on I need to do something like that for camp-lights too. I like the idea of facing them down so when you're across camp looking back at the rig they're not shining as directly in your eyes, but still light up the area.

You said you use an H2 in the wiring. Is that the devise where you can drill a hole in the roof with water proof connectors, similar to a solar hook up ?

The H2 is my Hummer H2, The H2's are notorious for roof leaks around the lights so I didn't want to drill another hole, routing through the window channel is an easy way to get near the battery

Don't waste money on those expensive lights from Rigid and such, I ordered some many years ago off amazon and they are still going strong, the most recent are the ones on the rack. I angled them down for the exact purpose you said for use at camp

Yeah, on other offroad toys I've had high end Rigid, Baja Designs, etc. LEDs. I've also used eBay ones. Yes, the Rigids and Baja Designs were the brightest... but by a slim margin. And a brand new 2020 eBay one will out-perform a 4-5 year old name brand anyway.

Do you have a winch to clean too. No more than they get used I bet they get really rusty when they have cable.

Inventory completed...have everything except rear lights and winch, both are on the back burner till I decide on roof rack and bumper.

I am hoping today I can get the final section of the headliner curves so I can start the overhead console

I like it, even the red lug nuts..... LOL
I recently added new larger tires to my LRD2 but I had to remove the valance and bumper below my lights for the tires to clear the front edge.
I also added a new off road bumper to clean up the frontal area for better egress. I dont rock climb as such but I want to be able to
get over the single item issues like logs or boulders in my path without hindrance. My tire size is 265/75/16 and 31.7" tall, by that
you know I wasn't trying to cram a Sherman tank under the fender.

Yes, this our place, it's my in-laws...my wife grew up here and actually her mom did as well...built in the early 1900's...hasn't been used in years but the house is set up for gas lantern heat from the ceiling...

But we are in the city, no garage, driveway very steep and no real yard to speak of...

When the time comes though for the kids to sell it, my wife should get a pretty good payday...in my area this would easily sell for over a Mil...then maybe we get out of the city and get to the country...ideally we'd like to end up in Maine
