Completed the latch installation and fabricated the license plate frame on my tire carrier swing gate, just rear light mounts, folks down table and paint left and it's done. I also took the advice of @Wolvee and replaced all the bulbs in my interior lights with LEDs, super bright in my jeep now. Huge improvement.

Replaced my saggy old rear springs with higher load capacity one for a k5 blazer. Much better ride and handling given I carry ALOT of tools and spare parts in my ZR2 Blazer. Oh; I smashed every finger in the process which is much more pleasurable when they are cold. Lol.

Well yesterday the 14th I got myself a sweet B-Day present, A new camper that's insulated and heavy duty for super cheap on CL for winter camping, this weekend I'm tearing the paneling out and doing my own and building a propane heater/furnace for inside. I then wired up all my LED off-road lights as I do lots of night drives (and I'm usually first in groups so I lead the way) here in the dessert and will be taking road trips up to WA here soon an we all know deer like to surprise you on those dark winding roads haha.

This weekends plans...
On board air.
New leafs in rear 300K miles on them there bound to break.
Dual battery
Dual Alternator (for lights and welding)
If time, scavenge the yards for a 8.8 and maybe a used tranny

Everyones rigs are looking pretty sweet. Wheel Safe!

It's amazing how little minute things can sometimes make such a huge impact.

Thanks man, its awesome what you can find on CL.
I see you did some leaf springs, that's my next adventure too, doing a Chevy leaf swap as one of my leafs broke with the weight of the new camper driving down the road, good thing I was only doing 20 going 80 down the freeway sure would have been interesting.
Wow. Glad it happened when it did.

Installed my ComeUp Seal 9.5rsi Gen2 on my Jeep yesterday. Didn't get any pictures of the install since I was by myself, but will get some post install ones up later.

image.jpeg Had quite the productive day. Got the winch plate cut down to size, wholes drilled in it and the frame, modified the frame, and test fitted it. Just waiting on the winch to show up so I can trim the bumper around the fairlead.

Dropped the front end to install a Lokka ADL.

Having flashbacks to my time in helicopters, when .020" was a world of difference.

Nice!

Is that a hideaway mount? Will the winch be behind the stock grill?

I haven't done anything to my truck today but I did photoshop an aftermarket bumper on a picture to see it. It seems like Michael was right and that most overland vehicles eventually end up having generalized look to them for function. :0)

I'm trying to decide on the brand and the type of coverage I want/need. No bar, push or full front over the headlight bar protection.

I found out that a 285/75/16 tire will fit in my stock spare location - with a little bit of wrangling to get it just right.

I will be getting a set of four BFG KO2 for now and using my best two KO tires as spares (one on the back, one underneath). My current smaller 265/75/16 spare will be given to my brother since he still has his factory spare from 2008, which is probably just a circle of dry-rot by now.

Well, my winch won't be here for a couple weeks....I'll never order from PolyPerformance ever again. So, with that being said I trimmed enough off my front bumper so I could put it back on. Also ordered some O.B swag
