Thank you to all veterans and first responders for your service. Many have provided the Overland Bound community with heartfelt inspiration. Personally, one of the greatest rewards has been to see those who have found connection within our community, and I would like to see that continue. There are many stories.

This forum is a place to connect with other service people who are into Overlanding, or for any reason. Thanks to @AzzyRnr for his boots on the ground, @Jim SoG and many, many others for motivating the creation of this forum.

Being new, please feel free to provide feedback and at-mention me or @Kent R or @Jim SoG for suggestions to make this forum valuable.

Our store is GovX ID enabled for veteran and first responder discounts.

Noticed this vet-friendly area and thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a retired USAF Combat Camera Still Photojournalist. Originally born in Seville, Spain, grew up in North Carolina and chose Oklahoma as my home after being stuck during the 9/11 attack while working for sports yacht trade magazine. I figured to hang around the Sooner State for a few years, but if passing year, I fell harder for this area. After 20 years now, this is the longest time in my life that has been in one location. I'm 100% service-connected disabled, but I don't feel that way most of the time.

Here are some longer stories if you wish to explore more about me and some of my struggles.

Forever Lost

Opening the 2023 Gift

Soul Searching Travel

A Personal Struggle

Losing my Best Friend

If you make it through all those posts... then hit me up and setup a coffee date.

Cheers to a New Year and Adventures!

Hugs, Dixie
