We are driving around the world. Right now.

If you've been following this thread, you know that we intend on overlanding the world visiting all 6 habitable continents on our journey. When we got to southern Brazil, we fell in love and almost didn't leave, and I'm not kidding.

If you need to be convinced to overland internationally, or visit southern Brazil, take a few minutes and watch this. This place is incredible.

We all get one life, make the most of it!

As always, if you have any questions about our journey, please don't hesitate to ask! ~ Eric

Sometimes when you are overlanding internationally you happen to chance upon AMAZING finds like this that you had no idea were there. We had a blast! Also experienced the famous Jeep "Death Wobble" on this stretch and had to deal with it at a shop where we didn't speak the language. So much happened in this video. Give it 5 minutes and you'll probably be cracking up.

Any questions about the journey let me know! ~ Eric

Ever wonder what overlanding in Argentina is like? Police checkpoints, border crossings, and the landscape? What about the world famous wine region?

It's all in in our latest video which just went live today.

In addition, our intrepid traveler Caspian (who has lived his entire life on the road) turns 8 in this video and offers some of his own personal reflection. This section of our journey was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy the video.

Grab your favorite beverage, and hit me here in the comments with any questions! ~ Eric

In 11+ years of full-time vehicle based travel, we have NEVER crossed a border this stunning! Oh, and I almost accidentally died during this section of our journey. All of that and more in our latest overlanding video as we continue our journey around the world.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! ~ Eric

We hit a MAJOR MILESTONE! We made it to the southern terminus of the Pan-American Highway, the longest motor-able road in the world. Our overlanding journey around the world continues, and we have a lot of fun in this video.

Here for the questions if you have any!

This is the Carretera Austral, one of the world's most infamous roads. It is located in a remote section of Patagonia in southern Chile.

In this video we encounter our most challenging military / police checkpoint on our journey so far, the most amazing wild camp we've ever been to in over 12 years of full-time vehicle based travel, a failed electrical system where we had to do a trail fix in one of the most remote regions of the earth, and the longest single travel day we've ever had on our entire journey.

There is a lot in this video, and I'm here for the questions if you have any. This was an incredible part of our overlanding journey around the world. ~Eric

Conflict, Caves, and Uncertainty. This was one of the MOST CHALLENGING sections of our drive around the world so far, and also one of the most beautiful. We don't sugarcoat the journey and we don't hold anything back.

This is what real long-term overlanding looks like for us. Would love to hear your thoughts. If you have any questions, happy to answer them. ~ Eric

We drove 5 hours out of our way to try and get on a ferry that had been sold out for months. If we get on, we get an amazing cruise the fjords of Chilean Patagonia, if we don't, we have a 2000+ mile detour on land.

This is the story of what happened. Let me know if you have any questions! ~ Eric

It is still surreal to us that we drove to Patagonia in our Jeep Gladiator as a family. On our way back up the South American continent, we drove to a glacier and saw one of the most amazing natural spectacles on earth, the calving of a glacier. AND we caught it on camera! This is a moment we'll never forget and hope you enjoy it with us.

If we can do this, anyone can. We're just a regular family with a dream to see the world. We took a shot and it has been an indescribably amazing journey. I'm so glad we take the time to catch it on video. I hope you enjoy this section of the journey with us and if you have any questions, I'm here for it. ~ Eric

Last Camp GUARDIAN.jpg

Our final night at camp before our vacation!! Y’all were so excited!

People often think we are constantly on vacation because we travel full-time. They think we are just out there living a care free and easy life.

This is not true.

Think about it this way.

We’re on our 12th year of full-time travel.
We live in about 20 square feet of space.
We are constantly subject to weather as we mostly live outside.
And we still have to do all the “normal” things like grocery shopping, laundry, school, paying taxes, voting, doctors and dentist visits, all the things.

Quite often we are navigating all of this from a far away land, in a different language, using a different currency, under different laws and regulations.

This is NOT a constant vacation. It is just LIFE differently.

We are currently in the USA taking a 4 month "break" from our global journey. We're driving around in our OG rig "GUARDIAN" visiting family and friends. So far on our break we've been from California to Florida and everywhere in between during the past 2 months. So we're still overlanding... just here in the country right now.

With that said, just like many of our peers, we DO take vacation from time to time and that vacation STARTS NOW!

We are in Brittany and Caspian’s “happy place” which is Disney World. We are staying in Kissimmee for the next 3 weeks!

We are so excited.

It is nice to have a roof and four walls. Endless running, hot, and potable water. Climate control. Room to spread out. A bathtub! Endless electricity. Constant power options. A washer and dryer! Steady internet. Heck we even have a giant pool!

All that to say that reflecting on these luxuries makes me realize just how blessed and spoiled so many of us are.
We’ll enjoy every ounce.

Africa is just around the corner for us. So we better soak in these things while we can!

4000 kilometers through Argentina. Our longest drive ever. We were exhausted and burnt out. But having reached the bottom of the world we needed to turn around and head back north. It's all part of the journey. In this video you can see our exhaustion and the uncertainty of what lies ahead for us as we plan to head to Africa.

I'm here for the questions if y'all have any! ~ Eric

And just like that it was over.

Suddenly we were leaving our Jeep behind in a foreign country and we had no real clue what was immediately happening next.

This is our last video from our journey in Latin America. This video is the definition of certain uncertainty. Hope you enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions! ~ Eric

Thank you to all here who reached out to us privately after South America. We got so many questions sent to us asking if we were ok. It is truly appreciated!

After South America was complete, and we had made it to the bottom of the world, we REALLY needed a break. We were spent. No.. exhausted is the word. So we went dark on social. We didn't create any new content and focused on rest.

This video explains what happened, where we've been since March and touches on Africa which is our next continent on our global overlanding journey.

Let me know if y'all have any questions! ~ Eric
