just because you arent able to get away for a few days does not mean that you cant experience the joys of overlanding...
if you live anywhere in the united states, chances are there is a walmart within 15 minutes of your location.
so, without any further ado...throw on a tank top and grab your best pair of flipflops and let the adventure begin!

I'm near a national forest with tons of campgrounds.

Apparently it's customary for many campers to arrive a night early and camp at Walmart, sign in at their campground of choice in the morning. Refill coolers, etc.

Most campgrounds have online sign-ups now, to mitigate the need for this. But who wants to pay for a full day, and only get 1/4 of a night? Especially if some retard is blocking your rented site when you arrive at night.

I'm conflicted. Sometimes it's cool tailgating, sometimes it's an embarrassing mess of squat-ed trucks and rv's.

And if there's a offroad motorcycle event "Wailing Wayne national forest", it's a mess. And that park's 3+ hours away still.
