My transmission shop is on the other side of the state from you… I don’t know what Ammco Shop my friend works at… I just know it’s in Portland some where.
If you want one of the best transportation shops in the Northwest take the transmission to Hudson’s Transmission in La Grande Oregon. He sepecialises on building up off road racing transmissions and gear boxes. He prefers just the transmission, so shipping him the transmission to rebuild would be an option. As for cost of shipping a transmission it’s not to bad… I had a Ford ZF5 1ton transmission shipped from Kansas City, KA to La Grande, OR for just over $200 by fed ex.

Copy that. It's my daughter's Jeep, she's going to grad school at OSU in Corvallis so we're trying to avoid a long down time as she needs her vehicle for her grad work.

For quickest down time, buy a reman transmission or possibly even a Junkyard transmission.

Yeah, that’s where we started, great recommendation by the way. Nice guy, straight shooter. He used to have a place he recommends but they aren’t around anymore. He is game to do a transmission swap, so I am starting to lean that direction. So grateful for this app, super helpful!

She swung by Marsh Transmission, and as soon as they heard the sound, they knew exactly the issue. She said they were very nice and they're going to get me an estimate but said they could fix it no problem.
