Hello! I recently bought a used Oztent Oxley 7 and it seems like a decent tent, but on the first use it seems to have a couple of issues with the frame, including a snapped pole (which I caused) and elbow joints that aren’t functioning properly.

Unsurprisingly Oztent aren’t able to help as the model is long since discontinued, and after attempting to repair it myself today I’ve realised I don’t have the skills required.

So - should I try to sell it as ‘needs repair’ to someone who has the skills to do so, or is there somewhere I can actually get it repaired?

I’m in Melbourne.
Ps I can go into more detail about what’s wrong with the tent but I didn’t want to give too much info right off the bat.

Possibly spray lube might work on the stiff elbow joints as they are auto lock unlock type. The broken pole you might be able to replace. Check out your local Tentworld or similar they may be able to help. Otherwise your suggestion to sell as is needs repair could be a way to recoup some of your costs.
