Absurdity of price and all the add-ons aside, I'd love to see someone build a normal carbon fiber tent... something in the Baroud space. I'd definitely pay more if someone can get a truly durable full size hard shell tent into the regular RTT ~125lbs territory.
Autohome makes them. They have a lightweight version of the normal Columbus tent, which is a V shape normal hardshell. In europe they are about 6k euro if I am not mistaken, about double of a normal columbus.
It is an italian company, they make RTT's since the 50' good quality stuff.
Autohome is using the same fiberglass used for boats and treted for UV.
They are pretty resilient.. hit mine on a number of branches and the ceiling of a parking space too low.. just some scratches..
