A bit about me... Lover of the outdoors, nature and good people, especially if they have beer. Been a back-country hiker, conservancy naturalist and guide teaching others about the outdoors as well as native american culture in the So Cal area. Moved to North Texas a few years back with my job and family and a newbie in the Jeep and overland experience. Had a Trail Teams FJ some years back (work for Toyota) and now back into it with "Ranger" the Jeep. Wife and I are looking to get set up for our retirement and a bit of travel/overland time.

Looking forward to growing in this culture as I know it fits me just fine. Jumping right in as always!

Welcome! Take a look at the US Southwest-DFW Monthly Recurring Overland Bound Meet. We are discussing things today for ideas in that forum (says August but some still following this forum)

Welcome from SW Florida. We used to live right around the corner from you in Allen. We are recently retired and it sounds like we share similar motivation. Our first overlanding experience was a trip to Overland Expo East. Along the way we checked off 2 National Parks (a retirement goal is to hit an many as possible) and had a blast. We are hooked. PS. I too love beer and usually have enough to share!
