Hi buddies, I'm about to wired a light bar in my Ford f250, and auxiliary lights on my Xterra. I am looking at switches, and switch boxes. Is there a bullet proof switch that you guys like, that also has a mild led state to it?

I like the feel of the larger rocker switches, but would like to confirm which ones are more bulletproof.

I have some switches from OTRATTW. They are Contura V rockers on Carling Tech bodies and I haven't had any issues, even when having shorts on the circuit (yay for fuses!). You have a lot of customization from them, which is nice, and the price is pretty good as well.

I like the customization, thx.

Please keep in mind even if the switch is of good quality use a relay to offload the amperage from the switch to the relay. I have never had any problems with generic rocker switches but any high load is run through relay.

I've been recently re-wiring the Raptor Dash that someone had put into the D90 I am using,
Completely messy wiring so I've stripped it out and im making my own loom (atleast its not all the same colour!)

The ones on this one are "RDX" switches, I must admit, they do look and feel pretty good quality
There is a Seller on eBAy in UK - "Bolt-On-Bits" their not the cheapest in the world but they certainly seem pretty good to me

considering previous owner who had the switches in this defender was a farmer...

Ahh great.

I am about to make two looms, one for my f250.. I was the original light installer, and I want to clean that install up, and probably add some area lights. The second is my xterra with overhead lights done by a previous person. Outwardly they have been shielded, and look pretty good, but they do not turn on. I suspect the person got a fixit ticket here in Ca. and decided to make them inoperable some how.

I look forward to the project. I have only done the type of wiring that a kid would do installing a stereo. This time I want to learn how to do it correctly in a bulletproof style.

I am in the process of fitting a switch panel to my 90 dashboard. I have bought the bits from www.mudstuff.co.uk below I have attached pictures from their website to show the sort of thing I'll be doing.
The switches I'll be fitting will be for: Light Bar, Rear Work Lights, Air Compressor, Possibly Front and Rear Air Lockers, and a Double USB Socket.

I have never used Carling Switches before so It may not go well. I need to identify the Sidelight wiring in order that the switches will illuminate as required.
