Hi Jacob,
It technically - shouldn't be called a 'mountain range' - which in the smallest one in the US. It technically, is an Earth Displacement Scarf - similar to Abert, but much larger. This rock occurred during the last Magnetic Reversal, about 12,000 years ago. There is a place in the Alford Desert facing side (East) that is Positive at the Top of the Rock, Negative in the Middle, and Positive at the Bottom. There are rare flowers and hummingbirds - found no-where else in the US. Then there are the Wild Horses...
