Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a trend? I have a Jeep XJ nothing to look at, but people driving Jeeps (not all but a percentage) now days like Rubicon JKs or even just plain JKs and the new Wranglers that are all decked out Mall Crawlers do not even give you the time of day. I wave and play nice but the more I do the more that it kinda ticks me off. What happened to the ol jeep wave. I would eventually like a JK for more room but ?? I was just curious if any one else feels the same way...??

I drive a wj I feel your pain 100%.
It's cause everyone and their mother is driving wranglers nowadays and most don't know the edict for the wave. It's kinda sad really. I don't even bother waving to wranglers anymore. Just less popular jeeps like wj, xj, wk etc etc.

Don't get me started! I Jeep wave all the time, and I too feel that some are either not educated on the Wave or just... I even wave at fellow overlanders that have a nice rig (not even a jeep). I do get some waves back but it seems less and less these days.

Also part of the reason I will never own a wrangler. They are too cookie cutter and there is far to many on the roads these days. Not mention the prices are absolutely outrageous.

I typically don't wave anymore unless I see them wave first, or I see them checking out my JK. It's pretty sad nowadays.

Having been a Jeep owner since 2000, I noticed with the introduction of the JKU in 2007 the beginning and continued decline of the Jeep wave. For better or worse, the JKU has become the 4WD minivan for many families who have no interest in the Jeep culture.

Amen! Hence the new generation of the Mall Crawlers. "Dude! Do you even wheel?"
