Went up late Friday afternoon, saw some great scenery and stretched my 4runners legs for the first time. Was a fun trail in spite of some new manzanita pinstripes. All in all an easy run, only a couple times I was thankful I had 4x4. I'll try to collect some pics and post soon. In the meantime, here's gaia data

I’d say intermediate or more. Nothing crazy but hard enough to keep traffic down.
I’d set up camp each day. Are the places you listed all at fairly high altitude? I’ve been to Manzanar but not in the hills. Hoping for cool temps.
Coyote Flat is 10k plus. Mazourka Peak about 9k. Neither are 4 day trips though (at least not moving). You could do Mazourka south to north, camp near peak, or badger flats. Then exit going north, head to bishop then up to Coyote Flat. Once you get up there you could spend a couple days but you wouldn't have to move each night if you didn't want to. Funnel Lake is a good side trip, you could camp there one night, and then out at the end of coyote flats along Baker Creek the other.
I don't think the rest are super high altitude but could be backup in case it got real cold. Laurel Lakes is fun but not terribly high altitude. Nice though. And quick enough up and back down.

Nice! It's a cool way to enter Big Bear, one of the first runs I did too when I got my rig actually. Jacoby Canyon is a fun short one. Then you could run down to Pioneer town on way back home, easy but fun scenic trail.
Have yet to run Dishpan/Holcomb/John Bull but prob will at some point. I'm good with some pinstripes, just no body damage haha... And those trails can beat up your truck.
We actually were running short on time so didn’t make it up Clark’s. But our subies did fine all the way over from 330 across old city creek through Santa Ana rd, over to 7 pines rd and out he south end of Clark’s grade down to the 38.
This is what I'm talking about, hooking people up with quality information cause that is what our group is all about. Appreciate it!
Just found this thread. Will have to check in regularly and meet up with everyone. I've done a bit of Anza and Big Bear and am looking forward to more.
I am in the planning stage for a trip up the 395 to the Bishop area 9/1-9/5(Sat-Wed). I plan on backcountry camping and exploring. Coyote Flats and Mazourka Peak are on the list so far. Love old cabins, mines etc. If anyone is interested in coming along for some of the trip let me know. If you have any recommendations for cool things to see please share. Thanks, Ben.
Hi all!!!! Just found this thread and wanted to throw out a trip idea for later October. I would like to go out to Borrego for a couple of days and wanted to see if there was some interest of anyone wanting to join in :) Plan would be to head out to the badlands area after work Thursday and camp. Then go hit Fish Creek (which I have never done) Friday and explore that area - there are some slot canyons along that canyon that we could stretch our legs on. Then Saturday maybe head over towards the salt and sea area and explore over there. I would need to be back in town Saturday night. Maybe hit Carley's Dinner over by Christmas Tree Circle for some food before heading home. If anyone has some interest in this I can start to put together some plans and post up the info.
As an even further out possible trip that would be a couple of days I wanted to gauge any interest in going to run the Bradshaw Trail. I always wanted to run cross-country from Superstition to Fish Creek. It seems like a cool mix of dunes, dry lake beds and ever changing washes.
hahahaha!!!! Best dive bar ever!!!!! The food is awesome!!! I don't know if it really is that good, or if slogging around in triple digit heat figured drains you so completely you would eat anything and it would be good :)

Great video of your trip, the family, the friends, and you travel with a mascot named Lola. I am positive she is good luck on the trips ;) Since you guys weren't able to complete fish creek you will have to join in on the fun of this trip!!!!!!
We have been wanting to do Superstition just never thought to do it in correlation with Fish Creek, maybe even take it all the way out to Julian from there as well.
