25w radio. Fit perfectly where the ash tray normally goes. Don't keep anything in it anyways, since it likes to slide open and eject all of its contents as soon as i leave pavement.

I really like this truck a lot!

I drove one of these through the Rubicon in 2006, it wasn't more modified than this, and it absolutely nailed that trail.
That truck went anywhere I pointed it with no fanfare.

3Rz 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual, no auto anything. You've got a keeper!
You're not going to win any races but you'll always finish!

Yep!! The wheelbase is almost as small as a Jeep, but it drives better on road. This little truck takes a thrashing and just asks for more. The Rubicon is on my short list of trails to hit next summer.

July of 2016, Made our way up to Coyote Flats above Bishop. Perfect weather in the mid 30's at night, 60's and low 70's during the day.

Our campsite was extremely unpleasant with a babbling creek running through the middle...

I hard mounted my antenna to the bed rack. This way i can keep the rear window closed, and possibly even replace it with a one piece window. This also allows me to take the antenna off so i can fit in my garage, parking garages, drive throughs, etc without the fuss of trying to feed the coax under all my stuff etc.

Finally got around to wiring up my switches so that the lower LED's are illuminated whenever accessory power is on. I.e. whenever the truck is running. I wanted to wire them into the gauge backlight, so they came on when i switched on the headlights, but i could not find a suitable power lead for that.

The top part of the switch illuminates whenever the accessory is powered on.

As always, Bailey at Baja Designs hooked it up with some more awesome lights. Bought another pair of S2 Pro's to use as camp setup / work / area / ******* driver lights to mount on the sides of my freshly powdercoated bed rack. stoked to see the pieces of this coming together.

Also pre-ordered their new tube mount dome light. Super stoked for that!

My truck still has all factory axle breathers, so i ordered ARB's breather kit. Has a really nice filter, and can connect up to 4 driveline breathers into a single vent. High speed push lock fittings and rigid 8mm tubing.

Somewhat disappointed by finding this much debris in the breather manifold. Always assumed ARB was above average quality. The anodizing looks good, all the parts fit perfectly. Just didn't think i would find this...

I straight abuse this poor truck, and my rear Kings have taken a beating over time. The valving has always been too soft, causing my to introduce my bump stops to my frame more often than i'd like. Decided to finally ramp things up, and worked with King to determine a new baseline, about 30% stiffer on the compression side, leaving the rebound alone so the suspension could fall down into dips and holes. Took the opportunity while they were apart to add an aux bump stop until i can afford some fancy hydro bumps.

New stickers, and they're back on the truck!

Other than the fact that the title totally misled me, this is fantastic stuff! Love to see a build thread done right: solid write-ups, copious pictures, and stellar image quality whether you're shooting your truck in the sunset, or a fucking leaf spring [emoji23].

Not to mention you've basically got my grail truck. Silver 4-banger 5-speed manual-everything. In my opinion there is no better, more likable canvas than these trucks and first generation runners. But then again, I owned one of the latter, so it's possible I'm biased. [emoji16]

Looking forward to following along as the action continues....
