made a set of portable chase lights.

here’s what I used.

These are the lights I used ( just tap the pic)
Drill out the hole in the magnet mount and mount the light bracket

Wire the trailer pig tail to the light harness. NOTE: the yellow wire is the trigger wire that changes the lights flashing modes.I pugged mine in to the truck and tapped the wires together to cycle through the modes till I got to the flashing amber. Once the wires are disconnected and power removed the lights remember the last mode they were in.

Isolate the yellow wire and wrap everything up. Mine store nicely on top of my Hi-Lift. Now if ever conditions or group requirements require a chase light I can just plug it in, and I have an extra if someone else needs one.

for some reason, the link to the lights doesn't work. Also, how or where do you power them up again? You're modifying a trailer plug to the lights?

That’s what I get for trying to do it on my phone. you just plug into your four prong flat plug for your trailer. If you only have the round 7 prong you’ll need an adapter. Then just turn on your running lights.

Nice simple solution! whip up a 6 foot or so extension for the trailer plug and you have a nice warning light to set out if you end up changing a tire on the side of the road
