If you mean Bald Eagle State Forest. It does not close.Does anyone know if BESF is open in February/March?
In February or March there is a great possibility of road closures though. Pennsylvania has been getting freezing rain and ice more than a snow pack. And that causes for some very tense moments on a trail.
I did some trail conditions and weather checks in my threads about Rothrock and Bald Eagle last February for @LGlx .
You can see in the one thread that on a winter day you can go from no snow and dry ground to 4 to 5 inches with the melt turning it to ice.
And I am sure as you get to New York Vermont and Maine that just gets worse.

There is information in these threads. In try to update them with current closures and stuff.
A real good idea is to look up the State forests on social media.
I also update this thread with any closures I notice.
