A few more pictures from the harbor. I really like the colours in the photos so here they are! Lol. Taking another trip east this weekend and will see what kind of scenery I can come up with.

This weekend I strapped the kayak to the roof and drove 5 hours to meet up with some friends to do some fishing. Didn't get many pictures because my phone was all wrapped up in a bag to keep it dry while on the kayak. Saw some eagles, a huge moose and caught a bunch of fish. Wind kicked up a d a storm rolled in so I had to grab the side of my buddy's boat to get back to camp quick. I'm sure it was quite a sight to see for the other people staying on the lake. The kayak side car lol.

Took a trip over to big bay to let the little one ( and my wife) pet and feed some goats. We also stopped at the ice cream shop and brought it across the street to the beach which is full of perfect skipping stones, so naturally I chucked a few in. Tried teaching my wife and Jr. how to skip them too but neither of them had the attention span to learn lol.

Managed to get out for another quick weekend outing with the family. The young lad seems ro love camping, which is a plus! He was looking for owls that he kept hearing.
Managed to catch the trilliums before they disappeared, and though the weather was cold and wet we still had a great time.

Took a detour on my way to Overlandnth last weekend and ran the compass through the paces. I was going torive my TJ but it's firmly holding its spot in my garage for the moment. Turned out to be a fun little trail.

She's no LJ, but a little bit more armor and tires and it will go alot of places. ha ha. Have you had any issues mechanically with it yet?
I has been eating sway bar links. Other than that nothing really bad. Its been used pretty light up till now ( warranty is up now, and it hasn't been off road till now because I haven't had the time to look for any spots) and its on its 3rd set of sway bar links with 50k km on it.
Its got a lift coming soon, so the links will get replaced with the lift and I'll look into some better tires at that point and see what kinda trouble I can get into with it.

I don't know what jeep has against making quality swaybar bushings and links. The pat's are toast, and my JK use to eat them for dinner. Teraflex fixed the links, the bushings I replaced with aftermarket ones which were much better. As for tires, if you can get P series Falken AT3W, I would go that route, we love them on our rig.

I'll have a look. its looking like pickings are slim right now and I am tempted to try to squeeze on a set of 245/65R17s but I'm not 100% they will fit. I know that 235/65R17 will fit but there aren't many options for that size.
I need to find somebody with a new cherokee trailhawk to let me borrow their wheels lol.

I have the AT3W in 235/65/17 now. They are great. Very lightweight and nice grip for small rig overlanding.

Currently out on a trip with the crawler. Had to stop and stretch my legs so I decided to snap a couple pictures.
Got to my spot and set up the new tent and cot ( this is glamping for me!). I'm setup at an even for the next 3 days so i figured i should make it as comfortable as possible.
then i had a snake crawling around/under my tent. I dont think I need that kind of company in bed with me lol.

Another weekend trip with the family in the books. Jr. loves camping and being outside. We took a trip to the beach and he started to get a little more used to the water, went over to the marsh to see the turtles, and then over to hang out on the shoreline to throw rocks into the water.

Lunch time on the beach, more staring into the water and throwing rocks. Saw some turtles in tanks at the park info center and played at the park for a while before heading back to camp for a camp fire and snacks.

After my last "event trip" having not shower while I was there for 4 days working, I decided tonput a shower on the compass. I had another event coming up and didn't want to run into the same issue.
I also finally made a bracket to mount my traction boards to the roof so that when they get dirty I don't have to throw them inside the car. Then I loaded up and hit the road for OverlandNTH this weekend.20220911_171717.jpg20220914_173231.jpg20220915_203738.jpg

"No pressure" ... but looking forward to more pics! I would have liked to go but I've spent 2 of the last 4 weeks at Algonquin Park and Bon Echo and simply need to get some things done (paint) on my LJ so I can get it back on the road. I've driven right by there a LOT of times but have never been to it. I don't think you can unless it's for this event or maybe some others. It would be a good home base for exploration.
