Off Road trailer with raising deck/platform for Roof tent/awning.

Can anyone point me towards any off road trailers that have mechanism that raises and lowers the roof tent and awning? Going to make my own trailer, but need to figure out a simple system to raise the tent to above head height.

Look at the mechanism that raises a pop up tent trailer for inspiration. You'll likely need bracing to support weight though.

Look up "Box Rocket Trailer" he is on several different forums and built up his trailer. He used a smaller sized square tubing in a larger one then assisted the lifting with gas struts.

Xventure trailer uses gas struts to assist in the lifting Im using the same I have bought struts that pick up 75lbs each so in theory the rack and tent could weigh 300lbs

@Mademan925 on here has done a similar construction I believe. It's pretty simple and ingenious, works well for him.

Don't know if he has a build thread here but he is very active on TacomaWorld forums as well.

if you are in the UK, I think that Drifta from AUS has now started importing there. One or many of his models have that feature.
