Looks like they are calling for some wind (15-25 mph) down here tomorrow and Friday. Hopefully it dies down by the time you all arrive and don't get sandblasted too bad out at Juniper. Rest of the weekend looks pretty decent for camping this time of year. I'm kind of surprised you haven't had more people sign up for this, should be a good early spring trip to shake the cob webs off. I'm still going to try to stop by Juniper Friday night or Saturday morning, wish I could swing it to make the whole trip.
Well it is the first trip but as we continue to go on trips each month I believe our numbers will grow. This is going to be a fun season going on some great trips together!

I'm hoping it's not too windy either, I keep earplugs in my tent for just that purpose. Sure a bear can sneak up and maul me with earplugs in but I'll be sound asleep up to that point!

We had a GREAT trip this weekend! Night 1 was at Juniper Dunes, thanks to @MrWilsonWJ for the help, and always good to see @G.Goodwin and family. Palouse Falls was gorgeous to look at and it was a gorgeous day. Our first option of campsite was slammed full of fishing folk and so we headed up Tucannon and found an even better spot!

Reminder our meet up is next Sunday 1-3pm and we will be discussing comms. So bring your radios, whatever you got.

I won’t be able to make this months meet up. Head to Orlando for training first thing in the morning.

I do currently run the Baofang but I know me and Kathryn want to get our HAM license. Hope to see y’all next month at the meet up or on the trail.

Glad you were able to find another/better camp spot for Saturday night. Didn't think about fisherman being up there but lots of camping along that road. Let me know if you guys plan a trip back to the area or to run Skyline, there are a few places of interest not on the track I sent you and I can answer any questions about the camping along the route. Usually Skyline rd isn't fully open and clear of snow until sometime in June. Hope I can make one of your meet ups or a future trip.

I would strongly suggest just downloading the HAM Test Prep app. I never actually studied, just took the test over and over until I got a 90% 10 times in a row, then scheduled my test, by the time I tested I was missing 1 question every third test on average. Just too the tests whenever I had a free moment (ie on the toilet ) absolutely no issues. The test is made up of like 100 questions from a bank of 500. But those are public knowledge so the test prep app has the exact questions and exact answers.

@Ebbs Only one question... where did ya get your wife? xD

It's all I can do to find anybody who even looks out the window while I drive, much less actually want to stop and take photos. Seriously though, those are great pics of awesome scenery.

Denver... By Way of New York, Boston and Chicago!
She stole my old Nikon on our first trip and I showed her how to do a few things (shutters and aperture) and she loves it. She took all those with her iPhone. Damn phone cameras are making me regret investing in my cameras, as they rarely get used anymore

@Ebbs It's usually worth the money to make the memories. Even irreplaceable material possessions will eventually be replaced, or at least forgotten. The memories, though they become tainted as decades pass, remain.

No camera, no matter how high-tech, will ever capture a memory.

I apologize for not making it out to juniper. Had intentions of being there, then life interjected.
My boy is moving this Saturday, if we get done I will be there!

Didn't realize you overhanded the ISS! lol. Looks cool.
