Hi from St. Charles, IL
Been following several forums that are vehicle specific for my Sequoia, but have been enjoying the travelling by vehicle since I was a kid exploring Baja in the late 70's -the late 80's with my dad on surf missions. Nothing technical, but plenty of stories of exploration and wanderlust, great surf and getting skunked. Moved to the Chicago area to go to school and stayed once I got married and a job locally.
Had a spring over jeep in my past, but moved on to sailing once I had kids. Now the exploration bug has hit again and I bought an '03 Toyota Sequoia as a family hauler and rig. Just finished a lift and some oversized tires. Planning on continuing the build as finances allow with the goal of taking a 4+ week trip out to Anacortes, WA and back to Chicago next summer. Exploring some Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington backroads, National parks, and ultimately spending a week with my family for a reunion in Anacortes. Open to favorites along the way, but at the moment I'm sure about Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Teton NP, Yellowstone, and Possibly Glacier NP on the way home.
Long winded greeting, I know, but this seems like a great community!
Thanks,
Dan
