Enthusiast III
My name is Phil and I'm about 30 minutes due east of Dallas. Current rig is a '18 Canyon All Terrain CCSB Diesel
It is my daily driver, as well as adventure vehicle for my wife, the kid (brand new as of 12/17/17!), and the tiny dog. It is pretty stock now, plans call for rails/steps and a bed cap. We drive out to California to see family at least once a year so the goal is to hit some dirt while on those trips as well as explore as much of Texas and the surrounding states as possible.
I'm pretty new to overlanding. Used to do a lot of camping/RV-ing a lot as a kid with my parents. We picked up a Subaru Outback a few years ago and that kicked off the exploration bug! Born and raised in SoCal but relocated to Texas for work. Realized I wanted something with more grunt and 4x4 capability than the Outback so I picked up the Canyon. The wife dailies the Outback, which has the 2.5l and a 6-speed manual.
