Hello all. My name is David and I want to get into "off the beaten path camping" with my wife and 3 kids. An overlanding setup seems the way to go and fits the definition of what I am looking to do. I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra 4.6L V8 Double Cab 4x4. I will be starting from basically stock and am looking to gain knowledge on suspension; soft shell topper vs tonneau; open bed vs Decked; bed rack tent vs the off the tailgate style vs traditional; wheels and tire setups; etc... Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Overland Bound David. Lot's of good information here.
I've always wanted to go to the Merritt Reservoir during the dark sky event in October. Have you been there?
