Hi, I live in Colorado but I am looking at working a contract in Phoenix for a year or so. I have been wheeling (rock crawling/expeditions) for over 40 years, having lived in the mountains of Colorado.

My rig is a 1985 Jeep Cherokee on 35's, locked Dana 44s front and rear, powered by a 4.7L stroker. For expeditions I pull a custom offroad teardrop I designed and fabricated.

My hope is to link up with people in AZ for weekend trips. BV First Night.jpg

Welcome! I'm sure that 4.7L comes in handy for the trails and towing. Nice looking rigs. You will have to do a post on both to give us more details!

Here is the build thread over on Expedition Portal.
http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/77927-quot-Old-Man-s-Toy-quot-offroad-teardrop-trailer

I am an engineer and an experienced fabricator with a full shop. I didn't buy a trailer, I started with a pile of steel on the garage floor. It is completely steel framed, but is lighter than most wood framed trailers. I designed a single link 31" suspension with a pan hard bar on airbags. It does 100 mph on the freeway as well as handling extreme rock crawling. It has 1" Styrofoam insulation all the way around. It has a sink, water supply, and stove, along with an deep cycle AGM battery, shore power converter, inverter and even a sound system. I have a satellite TV for it;-)...the wife is a city girl.

There are a ton of unique features I cover in the build thread.
