Installed the bumper today! Unfortunately we only got 5 of the 6 bolts in though because it was getting dark and cold and the wife was getting hungry hahaha. I may attempt to do it on my own, but I may need some local assistance and strength to coerce that one last bolt in.

Awesome job brother!!!

We ended up hitting WindRock and got to say it was an epic trip for us first timers going. There was no snow but it was cold and the ice on the ground was thick some spots wouldn’t even crack with the weight of the rigs. I will definitely be getting the yearly pass and become a regular there to bad you can’t camp on the the trails or it would be awesome for sure. We went with two Toyota’s and with another Jeep including mine the other jeep and I were able to hit up trail#26 to get ourselves a badge from Jeep Badge of honor and want to go back and get the badges for trail#16 and trail#51.

I am very jealous Jose, I have been itching to go there for over a year now. I do believe Windrock does have camping outside of the general camp ground. I am pretty certain they call those sites -Primitive Campsites-. From what I have read, there is a two rig max though.

No doubt I’ve been back since May and I’ve had the itch as well. Let’s plan something to head up one weekend and explore. And for sure they have camping and now new cabins but my bad I should have emphasize what I meant was camping out on by the trails. Lol.

A cabin would be amazing. That would make my better half feel better lol. Maybe an early spring trip?

Awesome, I am toying with the idea of a 2 night trip. 1st day ride some trails then camp at one of the primitive sites. Day 2, trail ride some more and find the ridge with the giant wind turbines. Make our way back and get a cabin for the last night. Best of both worlds really, get some adventure with primitive camping then appease my wife with a cabin. I can only carry so much ice for the beer and her cocktails.

Lol I feel you!!! The ridge is easy to find and is a sweet spot to have lunch and talk in the views of the Smokies. I actually bought the map and will be laminating the map lightly to be able to roll or fold it up. I’m also going to add some magnets to the back of the map on each corner that way I can open it up lay it on the hood of the jeep knowing it won’t fly away with the wind cause the magnets will hold it down while your reading and mapping out the trails with colored pencil. Lol

Excellent idea sir. How much is the yearly pass?

Four us a family of four it will cost $300. $100 per adult and $50 per kid and If I say so myself it’s worth it.

That ain't bad for unlimited trips. Does also cover camping fees? I have to ask, will they charge for my 80lb Doberman as a kid(big baby and is our kid I guess lol) so far he has been great with trail riding and camping. As long as he has his neck gator, pull over and sleeps between Aimee and I. Like I said earlier, big baby if he knows you.

I was coming in here today to say we should go do a scouting run at Cheatham WMA... Seems like some of you had the same idea.
Friend of mine posted some clips on her instagram last night which is what got me thinking.

I'd be down for any day between 12/29 and 12/30.

I literally wake up every morning looking at cheatham wma. I am game for anything. If I see a ranger I will try to get some info from him/her.

With some brute force I got that last bolt in on the bumper! It looks great and is ready for some towing and recoveries [emoji4]
I would definitely be open to a Windrock trip next year!
