Hi All

New member here from the UK

Here’s my home built expedition trailer, started life as an ex military sankey trailer, then mated to a quad tech 3 body and painted to match my G4 Discovery 3

It’s a work in progress but been useful so far, gas powered kitchen, two leisure batteries linked to LED lights inside, and a couple of easiawn pull out awnings. I’ve added adapters too so I can run the same wheels as the Discovery.

Looks great. Are you finding the existing suspension to be enough for what you’re using it for?

No problem BnT, I’ll be around all weekend........I bought the wheel adapters a while a go to change from RRC/Disco1/Def PCD to P38/D3/D3 PCD from a guy on eBay, great quality product and a reasonable price, I’ll see if I can dig out the item number if you want to contact him directly.

Hi, yes, so far I haven’t had any issues, as long as it’s loaded correctly it tows like a dream, to the extent I keep getting told to slow down as I sometimes forget it’s there......

With all the horrors I have heard about MOT inspections, I'm surprised you can run adapters.

MoT’s aren’t that bad, I am pretty good friends with the chap who does all of mine.

He doesn’t even check my emissions he has an Audi parked round the side which he uses all the time to get round older cars getting scrapped or failed
