Just a heads up C4 Fabrication opened up their new facility a few weeks ago which put them a 1-2 weeks behind schedule. I ordered mine at the beginning of march and aren't expecting them until at least May 2, and that is with doing a local pick up and not shipping.

I am 47 on the list. They have started sending more out and hope to get out 10 plus a week. All I know, these guys have amazing customer service skills. They keep you updated almost daily on this link. Unlike Gobi :rage:

I ordered mine independently a few days before the group buy closed (since I didn't know about it until afterwards lol). But they do have great customer service and responded to my email last week within 24 hours. That's awesome that you get updates! Glad they are located 10 minutes away from me if I need anything!

I bought RCI sliders and had them like two weeks after the order was placed... super fast, and very nice quality.
I have RCI underbody protection. They make awesome stuff and are very quick. I would not hesitate to buy from them again, they are a great company.

Well, even though I am laid up and can't even drive, the stuff I have ordered before my injury keep coming. This is the new ARB Summit Front Bumper. I am excited and sad all at the same time. Well, at least it is here!

Well, my sliders AND roof rack came, TODAY, within a few hours of each other!!!! WOW, what a day.

I have an appointment in Albuquerque to see a sports medicine doctor for my knee, supposedly one of the best. While I am there, going to drop off the sliders and skid plates to get powder coated.

Thank goodness for my wife and neighbor, helping me so much.

Hopefully I can actually get the rig suited up soon and actually use her. I do not want to be laying in bed all summer

Let's get this build on the road already (just kidding, sort of) - you'll be back up on both feet in no time and this thing will be sick.

Thank you my brother! You know how I was supposed to have surgery on Tuesday? Well, my Doctor was so baffled by the level of F'd up stuff in my knee, he wanted a second opinion by another big time knee surgeon before he operated.

YAY for me. Of course you know me man, I can't do things like a normal person. Even my problems have to be complex and paradoxical.....lol

Oh, BTW, you are welcome to come by and put the roof rack on, the ladder as well as the sliders and skid plates......let's not forget the dual battery system too :tonguewink:

Cheers

That sucks. Is that happening soon? And where?

Sent from my iPad using OB Talk
So, tomorrow I have the appointment with the other doctor. He is a Doctor at the University of New Mexico, supposedly really good with weird knee things. We shall see.......I mean, the guy was talking about a full knee replacement, not like you may think, those are easy, but one where they use a freaking cadaver's knee and then drill holes in my femur and attach the tendons and hope my body takes it. I hope that is not going to happen. For goodness sakes, NOOOOOOOOO

@Cavo I started reading this thread for the build, but I kept reading for the knee updates. ;)

It's been a while, what's going on with your knee? Hope you didn't need the cadaver replacement.

Thank you for the concern. I have had the surgery and did not need the cadaver, they used my hamstring tissue to attach to my patella. I am happy to say the surgery was a huge success and I am already walking again!!!!!!

Thanks to all who had me in their thoughts

Cheers to being back on the road!!!!

My rig is getting set up as we speak by an amazing down to earth guy, Walt Wagner of TAV in Albuquerque, NM. This guy is top notch in all aspects, but especially build and work quality.

The powder coating on my skids and sliders are taking a long time, but hopefully they will be done today. 14 business days feels like a lifetime!

As soon as I have pics, I will upload them.

About to leave, hopefully Saturday, to Colorado and after June 1st, up in to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and northern Cali. If anyone has some amazing offroad/dispersed camping places that you feel are do not miss, please let me know the details.

Cheers

I'm glad your knee operation went well. That is a blessing brother. I am recovering from a crushed right foot from an fallen oak tree shifting and coming down on my foot during removal. It's humbling to say the least and I hear you about gratitude for having help.
Look forward to seeing pics of the build and Safe travels.
