if you run a full-size you will get pinstripes. Just count on it, and have a good attitude about it, and you'll be fine.
I don't remember any places to get pin striped when I went but I guess plants grow! I don't mind taking point as my full size may be a tad fuller than some others and I don't mind pin stripes

I've only run a portion of the road and the portion I ran had some tight spots but that was years ago. I haven't been recently. My real point is, if you drive a full-size always count on pinstripes and you'll never be too upset if you get them.

We have wrapped vehicles in vinyl wrap as a preventive against paint damage. Would be pretty easy to put on and them remove. It would only be needed on the sides.
Pick something cool like camo or carbon fiber.

Think I may do that. There's an OB member here in SF with a vinyl connect, the guy with the Jurassic Park Xterra.

Oh man this the family hauler too and in pristine condition gulp,..

I've been to Hollister hills on some tight area's most of the pint striping I was able to buff out. For those who have gone how bad is the trails for something like the burb?
When I ran the trail over the summer most of it was pretty open, however as others have mentioned there were certainly a few tight spots through the Joshua trees and some other bushy areas. The pin stripping I got on the rover was pretty minimal, however I would be quite impressed if you could get through with no pin stripping considering your rig is almost a foot wider then mine :flushed:. Maybe you should just let @Scott clear the way in front of you:tearsofjoy:

I have no problem clearing the way.. Once you see the scratches on my truck, you'll understand.

We do the lead and tail thing on our Baja trips (Motorcycles and quads). The lead should be the most experienced or the most familiar with the area. The designated tail is great idea because it helps keep the group together. Also not everyone in our group would have a radio so the tail would be able to communicate with the lead in the event of any incident. [emoji1417]
