I've got most of my junk packed. Once I get it all packed, if I have room I'll grab enough wood to cover you as well bud. I know all too well packing for a family. Beleive it or not, with our family of 4, the 8 foot bed on my truck is usually crammed full.

I was planning to leave Dublin around noon on Thursday. Part of me wants to leave a little earlier and hit up Kern River Brewing on the way down for a late lunch. Great food and beer there. A "tad" out of the way, but not too bad.

Alright, are you guys ready for some meet-up details!

Those of you coming from the Barstow / I-40 area, as soon as you hit the I-15 / I-40, you have about 152 miles to go to the casino (142 miles to Exit 139)


Take Park Road to Needles hwy, travel north to Avi Casino.
This is where the last gas for the trip will be (at the Casino).

From the Casino, go north on Aha Macav Parkway for about 2.4 miles / 5 minutes.



The circled area is a road to the left, it's pretty non-descript but it usually has hay bales on your left, watch for that.

Here is where we'll meet up on Friday morning at 10:00 AM.

I will be there sometime between 9:00 and 9:30. Departure from that point is at 10:00AM

Also:
From Thursday night, I will be camped off the Needles Hwy, not too far away and just a little further down the trail.

If you miss the 10:00AM departure from the first point, go to the second point off of Needles highway here:


Anyone that can't make the 1 meetup point at 10:00AM, go to the Second meetup point, we'll take off from there.

And, if you want to go to the river to say that you've done the Mojave Road from the Colorado River, you'll need to accomplish that before the meetup point.

For those of you coming through Las Vegas, here's some suggestions.



From Highway 95 / 163, turn left/east and watch for Needles highway, going south.
It's about 27 miles to the trailhead.

Me and @UmmDavid will be headed out from east bay Thursday afternoon id say 4. We're probably gonna drive the entire way to Avi, but it's not set yet how far we'll drive that might. For sure we'll make it pass Barstow

Edit: We'll be leaving Pleasant hill at 4pm (gotta pick up my lady from Bart when she gets off work). We are only driving down to Barstow and staying in a hotel. Then making the trip to the 1st meeting point Friday morning.

I grabbed some extra wood for @Cavo yesterday.. Our current plan is to roll out from our location around 10 am Thursday, accounting for multiple stops with 2 little ones we should get there about 3pm and check in to the hotel at 4pm.
