huh, maybe there is such a thing as too much lift :wink:
Is it because the differential is off center? or is the frame just different on that side? I suppose you could grind back a bit at the top where the control arm meets up, but that still won't leave a lot of room for it to travel, I guess.
That kinda sucks

So the passenger side drive shaft is longer then the drivers by almost a foot, so that must obviously count for something.... but yeah, this is my point of contact IMG_7418.JPG

And those are with the 40mm spacers? The pic of it up on the jacks looked so promising. Even with the axle touching it looks like the bolt holes on the strut were still a half inch off, so you might have to shave off about 10mm of that spacer.
You could also rent strut spring compressors or find some other way to pre-load the strut to get it to line up-- you just have to make sure that wheel for sure stays on the ground when you're driving, I can't imagine that would be an issue unless you go off a jump or drive on something aggressively off-camber.

I got the lift completed this morning. Woke up early to finish up the front and bang out the rear, which went much smoother lol. Car feels great and handles really well. Pretty much same as stock did! I’m digging the lift, not too much but it’s definitely noticeable and will help a ton on some of the trails!! Onto some pics!

So how you liking the lift after a few days? Think my next upgrade is rims tires and fender flares. Don't want to cut it up yet, but need something to help block crap from hitting the car. Wheels will stick out an inch over stock

I’m loving it! The more we see it the more I’m digging the look. All the other mods make much more sense now lol. I always thought the snorkel looked a bit odd being low but it flows good. I haven’t been off road yet but plan to get into the woods soon [emoji12]

With fender flares you’re still going to have to drill holes into your body which is just as much to me as cutting the body, maybe start with a good mud flap or something? Also with fender flares you need to cut the body to get the arches right or you will have some under-hang from the original body.

Gives me something to think about. Mounted some front lights on it, similar to the rally light plate style. I'll throw a picture on later. It gives me something up front until I can find a bumper to cut up or til warranty is out.

Thinking about ordering a front winch and some MaxTrax mats soon. Not sure if I want to mount them onto the spare tire like you often see or behind the spare on a separate holder. Also need to swap out a faulty O2 sensor that just went bad [emoji58]

With your commute maybe look at the new Continental Terraincontact (top rated AT by Consumer Reports) and the Geolandar AT G015. Both are decently fuel efficient and have excellent highway manners, are super quiet and do pretty well offroad as long as you stay out of deep mud. The new Cooper AT3 4S is looking good too.

I’ve read good things about both. Our car sits a lot as we work from home and most driving is just to town for errands or messing around on the trails. Not sure which AT or MT I’ll go with next.

In your case a nice hybrid tire would be awesome. Something along the lines of the the Ridge Grappler, S/T Maxx, Open Country R/T etc. Or something a little less aggressive like the Duratrac or KO2. It's nice not having to worry about fuel economy or ride quality. :)

I had Toyo open country at 2’s before and loved them. I squeezed like 50k miles out of them! On my Xterra I ran a set of Kenda Klever AT’s and they were awesome too. Was thinking about trying their Klever MT, cheap and good reviews! I really dig Coopers line up too. Need to keep it somewhat light with the CVT trans.
