Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Rig: 2008 GMC Yukon
Experience: Driven PA roads. Dodged some nasty potholes. Joking aside I drive through some mud puddles near my house when I can. I'm trying to figure out what gear to invest in before I venture off to any trails. I am completely new to this and ready to learn and hopefully have some wonderful experiences.
Welcome to Overlanding! Dodging potholes and sliding through mud puddles is exactly what we do on a daily basis in Oklahoma!

Element Video in Red Dirt

I'm probably the newest person in the community and there is LOTS of great information, I would suggest deep diving into the forums, ask many questions, and then taking the basics for an overnight trip - Safety / Shelter / Substance. Then adjust for the next journey, destination and/or comfort. Most important will be to know your limitations, expectations and never forget it's about the experience.

Enjoy!

Hello all, My wife Jen and I along with our copilot Ronnie (Mastiff) have begun exploring more now that she has finally joined me in retirement.
As we are both retired Army, we have some outdoors survival skills and knowledge for various situations.
Our home base is Tahsis, BC.

I have a '24 JT Rubi....previous was '09 JK Rubi.
Jen has a '22 JT Willys.
I've been jeep camping since '92, but would say my overlanding skill level would be between novice and experienced.
