Howdy all. Just picked up a clean '00 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban to start a mild camper build on. It's got the 6.0, rear hatch, a bit bigger tires than stock, and a nice aftermarket stereo.

I've got a '08 Toyota Sienna that we've been camping out of for several years (more on that build). Basically plan to move over as much of that build as I can, and adapt where needed. We're not looking to get too extreme, just want to explore areas that are more rustic than I feel comfortable taking the Sienna into.

Just here to find ideas for bed/storage systems in the Suburban - it's longer than the Sienna, but narrower and shorter, so we'll have to adapt some things.
Greetings Mike, welcome to Overland Bound!

Howdy,

I'm Richard from sunny Jacksonville FL, nice to meet you.

Got a 5th Gen 4Runner TRD Offroad (Sound familiar? lol)

Brand new to Overlanding, but when I was younger, I had spent a lot of time out on the trails in SW FL playing in the mud on a Brute Force 650.

Excited to get my feet wet, and start adventuring around Noth America!

Hey all!
I’m James and I’m from Spokane, WA. I also spend a good amount of the year in Idaho Falls, ID.

I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra that I’ve been building out to be a capable off-roader yet still keeping it a reliable daily. So far it’s got upgraded suspension and brakes, coastal off-road front bumper and some light upgrades.

I’be been overlanding for a couple years now so I’m not 100% new but I have very little experience on harder, rockier trails. Looking forward to being more active in the community this upcoming summer!

Hey James, we’ve got a solid local group that goes out on a lot of trips! Some are day trips most are weekends and this coming Saturday will be our 15th of the year. We’ve got a Snow Run on Saturday up and over Moon Pass, then in January we have our annual Planning Party night where we all meet to discuss the year, nail down weekends, and figure out where people want to go.

This link is for our meet up thread, post #2 has all our events

This link is for the snow run
