Hi from SW Washington State! Located between the mountains and the beach in an area prime for exploring, which I'm determined to do more of. I'm new to overlanding, but have been camping and exploring the outdoors all my life. My previous method of exploring was by horseback, but after being horseless for the past 2 years my soul is aching to get back out there. So, I'm starting this journey to learn new ways to do what I love with what I have. Which is my 2010 Chevy Equinox AWD. I'm just beginning the process of setting her up for adventuring. Hi- new member here in the Los Angeles area. I'm a novice to overlanding, but after a few trips to the desert I'm obsessed and planning many adventures to come! I just outfitted my rig (2016.5 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD) with a rooftop tent and heading to Anza Borrego this weekend to break it in. I know it's custom to name your rig... I'm kicking around 'Nate, Nate Mazda'. He's reliable, no-nonsense, and goes with anything.

Elk Grove, California(Sacramento area)

Camped my whole life, mostly tame though. Some wild, some boondocking. 4 wheels and 2 wheels. New to overlanding.

Don't have my rig yet, it's still being finished in factory. 5th gen 4runner Off-road. So our real overlanding adventures are yet to start. Been packing up the wagon and going tame camping for years.

I hold monthly meeting in Visalia CA and take trips every month. I to have a full size Dodge Ram 2500 currently in Clovis at Extreme 4x4 having 4.88 gears and a Detroit locker installed. I hope to get my truck today.

Hello OB Community! Been a stalker for a while and finally decided to go full send. Im an adventure fly fishing film maker/guide/host by trade. Did my first overlanding expedition in 94 driving and exploring Tierra del Fuego for a month. It's been non stop ever since. Ive been fortunate to drive and explore across Mongolia, NT Australia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and South America. Greatest memory though is converting a 1996 Ford F250 to run on used vegetable oil and driving with my crew from Portland OR to Peru, the goal was to make it all the way to Ushuaia but we broke down south of Trujillo a few years back and havent been able to complete the expedition. Hoping to change that in the near future. I've got a couple of photos of the F2Veggi below.

The greatest part of overlanding for me is the journey, not the destination as I have experienced so many times by getting to know learn and grow by meeting the local people in the communities.

Currently Im residing in SLC Utah and rollin a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Off Road nick named Ginger that I am in the process of slowly building into my ideal Fly Fishing Overland rig. Spending a lot of time currently overlanding in the Utah West Desert, Western Nevada and the Sawtooths in Idaho.
Ive already gained a lot of information her on OB, such a great resource. Thanks to the peeps who hatched this great site. Looking forward to becoming a part of this great community.
