Glad to be a member finally. My family has been an avid Jeep family for years and we are glad to be exploring the new adventure of Overlanding. We are grateful for the great resource we have found here. We are planning our 25th anniversary trip to Colorado and surrounding area in the Spring. Hoping to gain some wisdom on where to visit while out there and where to set up camp from day to day.
Welcome to the OB crew

Welcome!

What areas of CO are you hoping to visit in the Spring? I ask because most of the great trails here won't open until about June....

Hi - new to the forum, as well as offroading/overlanding - Just picked up a brand new Chevy ZR2 Bison just under 2 weeks ago (the day after Christmas).. loving it so far. I'm in Sacramento CA - I've already taken it out a few times (local OHV park called Prairie City, as well as a snow-wheeling run with a Jeep buddy, and a couple trails). When I'm not working at my day job, I'm a professional automotive photographer - so I'm really looking forward to seeing where I can go with this truck, and get some great shots ;)

You're in the right part of the Country for it. The western US is basically a never end sight seeing trip.

Hello Randolph (@rb9228 ), welcome from Oklahoma.

You are in the Southwest Region. Check out the Southwest Region sub-forum for local information and involvement opportunities.

Here is the link to the forum calendar and Meet-Up event page: Overland Bound Meetups. Pre-pandemic there were regular meet ups around Tucson and Phoenix, hopefully they can return in the near future. Something to keep an eye out for.
Or to check out what other members are planning go here: Overland Trip Planning

I am the SW Region Member Rep so if you have any questions let me know.
If you are on Facebook feel free to join us there as well, Overland Bound – Southwest.

Hi,
Looking forward to chatting on some resources on overlanding in the Northeast, I’ve been on a hiatus with young children but anxious to get back out there. I teach auto shop and have opportunities to play around with all sorts of vehicles, I’m currently in between Subarus but enjoy my 2001 Silverado and Honda Pilot off-road on occasion. I’m still looking for that crazy deal on a Toyota Tacoma or 4 Runner as I’m sure many others are but I’ve yet to find it. I am in north central New Jersey near Morristown. Thanks to all of you for all the contributions to this forum that I have seen so far. I have moderate experience from my travels during college and a lot of experience getting unstuck having worked in on and around farms for many years and I’m looking forward to getting back out there. Cheers!
-Dave
