Recently acquired my badge and have been mainly following the facebook pages. But, thought I'd sign up here. 2010 Nissan Xterra Off-Road - 2" lift, sliders, and skids - about the extent of my after market mods. Love camping and want to start doing more overlanding. Hope to get on some of the local trips next year as this season is almost over.

Howdy Everyone,
Just joined OB, excited to be a member. I'm new to overlanding, but been off road and outdoors my whole life. Was glad to find a group of people just like me with like-minded principles of nature, how to treat it, and all the adventures it has to offer.

Drive an '05 Land Rover LR3 HSE (Discovery 3), 4.4L V8 with the LR air suspension. Starting to make some mods - added a roof rack, changing from 19" to 18" wheels and tires. Planning on some sliders eventually and possibly a bumper with winch. I'm in Illinois, not a lof of OHV options around here, but take the kids camping a lot and get out to Colorado once a year.

Thanks! Been looking at this site for a while, surprised I don't see more Rovers. Lots of Jeeps and Toyotas, great trucks. But with LR's off road reputation thought there'd be more of them.

You'll find it's down to culture and availability,

I would say a good 70 to 80% on off road vehicles here in UK are LR as they were made here and parts are 10 a penny, the last 20 to 30% are other makes like jeep, toyota and other lol

Hi, I'm Rob and I live in Alberta Canada. My rig is a 2008 Toyota Tacoma that I use for family overlanding adventures. I'd like to say I'm experienced at overlanding but I'm always learning and trying new ideas. I find ideas in overlanding help with being a Scout leader and vise versa.

I've been following @overlandbound on IG for a while and figured it was about time to join.

I've attached a pic of my rig before heading out, it's definitely on the glamping side of things but it keeps my other half sane and gets the kids outdoors and offline.
